Reminder: Export Council's Meeting - Wednesday, December 7 - Topic: "Importance of Alaska Railroad to the state's economy".
Dear Export Council Members and Friends:
You are invited to attend the next meeting of the Export Council of Alaska on Wednesday, December 7, from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. which will feature a presentation by Chris Aadnesen, President and CEO of the Alaska Railroad Corporation and a member of the Council, who will talk about the importance of our railroad to the state's economy.
Mr. Aadnesen assumed his current position in mid-September 2010. Just prior (2007-2010) Aadnesen worked for HNTB Corporation, a nationwide consulting firm. Based in Austin, Texas, Aadnesen led national freight rail services for all seven of the U.S. Class One railroads.
The meeting will be held in the 5th floor conference room of Wells Fargo Bank Alaska, corner of Northern Lights & C Street.
At the December 1 RDC meeting, former Anchorage Mayor Rick Mystrom, now the Economic Development Advisor to the Matanuska-Susitna Borough, gave a presentation on the Port MacKenzie Rail Extension. His presentation can be accessed at www.akrdc.org
