KPMG LLP Names Teresa Newins Partner in Anchorage Office
ANCHORAGE, Alaska, Dec. 14 – KPMG LLP, the U.S. audit, tax and advisory firm, announced that Teresa Newins, based in Anchorage, has been elected to the U.S. firm’s partnership.
New partners are chosen on the basis of several factors, including a clear demonstration of KPMG’s core values of ethics, professionalism and integrity, as well as industry insight and client service.
Newins, a member of the tax practice, specializes in U.S. corporate, partnership and exempt organization taxation. Her industry focus includes Alaska Native corporations, oilfield services, energy, natural resources, and financial services. She has served on numerous boards and was recognized for her community involvement by the Athena Society. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Alaska – Anchorage and is a certified public accountant.
