Anchorage School District Board to host community meet-and-greet for superintendent candidates
Meetings will take place Jan. 6 and 13
The Anchorage School Board will host meet-and-greet opportunities for each of the finalists for the superintendent position.
The candidates will spend three days touring ASD schools, meeting students, senior staff and principals, and interviewing with the board. They will also participate in their own public meeting to interact with parents, staff and members of the community.
-Jim Browder meet-and-greet - Friday, Jan. 6
-Steve Atwater meet-and-greet - Friday, Jan. 13
Each meeting will take place from 7-9 p.m. at the ASD Education Center boardroom, 5530 E. Northern Lights Blvd. Both meetings will be televised live on ASD-TV cable channel 14.
Both finalists' applications are available for review at www.asdk12.org/school_board/superintendent_search/index.asp. Please note that a few pages of one candidate's application was inadvertently left off of the initial posting, however complete applications are now available online.
Each candidate's three-day schedule also includes an opportunity to meet with members of the media.

Each press availability will take place from 3:15-4 p.m. at the King Career Center, 2650 E Northern Lights Blvd.
