Vulnerable Populations Are At Increased Risk During Disasters
Office of Emergency Management is leading the way in educating care providers and vulnerable populations on emergency preparedness
 
Individuals with mobility, vision, hearing and cognitive impairments and those who do not speak English are particularly at risk during an emergency. The Office of Emergency Management is offering a free training to care providers, family members, and vulnerable individuals on preparing for emergencies. Join us at the Emergency Operations Center on Nov. 18, 2011 from 12 – 1:00 pm to learn about:

  • Disaster supplies considerations
  • Special planning considerations
  • Preparing to go to a shelter
  • Planning with your care provider
  • How the Muni is improving support for functional & access needs
