AT&T Unwraps New Retail Store In Fairbanks For Holiday Season


Spacious, interactive store features cutting-edge smartphones and tablets for consumer and small business customers

FAIRBANKS, ALASKA, December 7, 2011 — Just in time for the busiest shopping season of the year, AT&T* has opened its third company-owned retail store in Fairbanks. The new 2,500-square-foot store features a hands-on, interactive design to engage shoppers and provide a “try before you buy” service experience for the growing lineup of powerful smartphones and the latest in tablet computers. With the addition of the new store, AT&T has hired more than a dozen new customer service representatives in Fairbanks.

 “AT&T opened this new store to accommodate the growing consumer and small business demand for advanced wireless products and services in Fairbanks,” said Mike Maxwell, vice president and general manager, AT&T Pacific Northwest. “From the moment shoppers walk through the door, we want them to have a superior experience as they learn how they can make the most of today’s technology to improve every aspect of their lives.”

 “Our team is ready to help customers learn about devices and services, receive technical assistance, and find answers to billing questions or to make account changes,” said Scott Meyers, Alaska Director of Sales, AT&T Mobility. “In addition, each of our stores has a specially trained small business representative to customize the full range of AT&T products and services for small business owners and their employees.”

Fairbanks shoppers may choose from the newest technology to hit the market including these smartphones and tablet that recently launched.

The new AT&T Aurora Village store is located at 407 Merhar Avenue in Fairbanks. Store hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Store Manager Cassie Cain and a team of trained consultants are ready to provide demonstrations and assist both consumer and business customers with purchasing decisions and technical support.
