ACMP Initiative Petition Booklets Printed


December 21, 2011, Anchorage, AK – The Office of Lieutenant Governor Treadwell announced today that 500 petition booklets for the initiative to create an Alaska Coastal Management Program (ACMP) have been printed and petition sponsors have been notified.

Initiative sponsors have one year from today to gather signatures equal in number to ten percent of voters in the 2010 general election, or at least 25,875 signatures.  Signatures must be from qualified Alaska voters who are resident in at least three-fourths of the house districts of the State, and who are equal in number to at least seven percent of those who voted in the preceding general election in the house district.
