New Business: Personal Chefs for Busy Executives

Moose Bites Personal Chefs, a customized in-home personal chef service, is now available for busy executives and families in the Mat-Su area and Anchorage areas. Moose Bites Personal Chefs is owned and operated by valley residents Paul and Janice Villnerve and offers ‘palate-specific’ personal meals cooked from fresh ingredients in private homes.

“There are so many households where people are working long hours; meal planning and preparation becomes an extra burden. Frozen entrees and take-out food, while convenient, are loaded with salt and preservatives,” says Paul Villnerve. “You may save preparation time, but your family’s health and well-being suffers in the long run. We have clients who like to eat all organic and others who are committing to a lifestyle change which includes no artificial ingredients in their food.”

Villnerve meets with each client to determine their specific dietary needs. Then menus are agreed upon and a cooking day is selected. “We shop for all the food, come into the client’s home weekly or semimonthly and cook about 10 meals. We package the meals, leaving some meals fresh and fresh freeze the rest. We label each meal and leave heating instructions. Then we clean everything up. We leave nothing behind but delicious smells and great food,” says Villnerve.
