Matthews and Windt Join Ashburn & Mason, P.C.
(Anchorage) Ashburn & Mason, P.C., is pleased to announce that Mera S. Matthews and Rebecca A. Windt recently joined the firm. Ms. Matthews graduated from Smith College and the University of Washington School of Law. After law school, Ms. Matthews clerked for Federal District Court Judges for the District of Alaska James K. Singleton and Timothy M. Burgess. At the conclusion of her clerkships and before joining Ashburn & Mason, Ms. Matthews served for three years as a trial attorney for the Office of Public Advocacy Criminal Section, where she tried numerous jury cases. Ms. Matthews later developed and implemented a program for the Alaska Native Justice Center to provide free representation to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Ms. Matthews assists in the firm’s civil litigation practice.
MsWindt joined the firm following a clerkship with Justice Morgan Christen of the Alaska Supreme Court. Ms. Windt is a graduate of Yale Law School and Harvard University and served on the local City Planning Board in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Ms. Windt assists in the firm’s real estate, land use, and regulatory practices.
