Calista Corporation Announces New Communications Manager

Thom Leonard has joined Calista Corporation as communications manager. He coordinates all communications and related activities for the Calista family of companies, working in conjunction with the executive leadership team and the subsidiaries. Leonard is a Shareholder of Calista.

"Leonard brings a solid foundation of communications talent and experience," said President Andrew Guy. "His selection continues Calista's leadership of having the highest Shareholder hire rate of all Alaska Native Corporations."

Leonard grew up in Anchorage and in 1993 graduated from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. He moved to Seattle where he worked for Nintendo of America for over a decade. After moving back to Alaska he served as manager of public relations for Southcentral Foundation, a nonprofit subsidiary of CIRI providing health care services to Alaska Native and American Indian people. Leonard then worked as the relationship director for Chaz Limited Collision Express.

Calista is pleased to welcome Thom Leonard to our management team.

The Calista region encompasses over 6.5 million acres and includes 56 villages, which are incorporated into 46 individual village corporations. Calista Corporation is the parent company of 15 subsidiaries, providing services ranging from telecommunications and marketing to construction and facility management.
