US Airways Bridges the Cradle of Liberty to the Last FrontierPhiladelphia's Hub Airline to Offer Nonstop Service to Anchorage in Summer 2010
PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Next summer, US Airways (NYSE:LCC) customers will have a new nonstop offering to Anchorage, Alaska from the airline's hub and international gateway at Philadelphia International Airport. This new seasonal flying will complement existing year-round service from US Airways' Phoenix hub and will be the only nonstop airline service to Alaska from the northeastern United States.
Senior Vice President, Airport Customer Service, International and Cargo Suzanne Boda said, "Our new nonstop to Anchorage next summer will meet the peak travel demand to Alaska from the northeastern U.S. and beyond. We couldn't be more excited to bring Alaska to our Philadelphia hub, where we already have more than 400 daily departures to approximately 100 nonstop destinations."
The flying will be operated with Boeing 757 aircraft with seating for 12 in First Class and 164 in the main cabin. Customers may book beginning Dec. 12 at usairways.com, by calling US Airways reservations at 1-800-428-4322 and through travel agencies. Schedule detail is as follows:
