Tickets On Sale Now for ‘Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination’
Advance tickets to "Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination" went on sale today at the Anchorage Museum and online at
www.anchoragemuseum.org. The exhibit is on view Feb. 10 through April 25 at the Anchorage Museum.
The traveling exhibit "Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination" uses the familiar imagery of the six "Star Wars" films to teach visitors
about real-world scientific progress. Visitors can see more than 80 authentic costumes, models and props from the "Star Wars" films,
including Luke Skywalker's landspeeder and Darth Vader's menacing black suit.
These objects are displayed alongside modern technologies that may one day make the universe of "Star Wars" a reality. Emerging technology on display includes a mechanical heart and a personal assistant robot designed for NASA astronauts.
Visitors can enjoy more than a dozen interactive features including a replica of the Millennium Falcon cockpit with a lightspeed travel
simulation. More than 2 million people worldwide have visited this exhibition, which was organized by the Museum of Science, Boston, and Lucasfilm Ltd.
Tickets are $22 general admission, $18 student/senior/military, $10 for museum members, $8 ages 3 to 12 and free for ages 2 and younger. Prices include general admission to the museum.
