Pearson's Pond Luxury Resort and Adventure Spa and Affiliated Businesses Change Ownership
December 7, 2009 - Juneau, Alaska - Pearson's Pond Luxury Resort and Adventure Spa and all affiliated tourism businesses have been purchased by Maryann Ray, formerly of Phoenix, Arizona. Ms Ray, her daughter Rachael Ray and son-in-law Rick Nelson will be managing the enterprise.
Pearson's Pond was founded in 1990 by Steve and Diane Pearson, who grew the original bed and breakfast into a thriving multi-faceted destination resort and tourism business. The resort attracts upscale independent travelers to the Juneau area and supports the community through partnerships with numerous local businesses and excursion providers.
"We are thrilled to be living in Juneau and excited to own this remarkable resort," said Maryann Ray. "Pearson's Pond is a unique and special property offering amazing and memorable experiences to its guests and other travelers to Juneau. We are eager to get to know our new friends in Juneau and we look forward to continuing the unsurpassed quality and hospitality that has always been the hallmark of a stay at Pearson's Pond."
Pearson's Pond continues to be the highest rated resort in Alaska and the only Alaskan resort to be awarded the prestigious AAA 4 Diamond rating. The Ray's have many plans to continue upgrading the resort including installing an outdoor sauna and a room expansion. They also plan to increase both their destination and local wedding services.
