New admission rates effective Jan. 1 at the Anchorage Museum

The Anchorage Museum's admission rates will increase modestly starting
Jan. 1. The new prices reflect an expanded Anchorage Museum that
includes, essentially, three museums in one. In May, the museum will
open the new Imaginarium Discovery Center, Thomas Planetarium and
Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center.

The new rates are $10 adults; $8 senior/student/military; free ages 17
and younger. This is a $2 difference for adults and a $1 difference for
senior/student/military.

Starting in May, the museum will introduce a rate of $7 per child. Ages
2 and younger still will be admitted free.

The Anchorage Museum is the largest museum in Alaska, and one of the top
10 most visited attractions in the state. The museum's mission is to
share and connect Alaska with the world through art, history and
science. Winter hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday,
noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, closed Monday. Learn more online at
