Kendall Auto Group Purchases Aut o Service Company Dealerships in Fairbanks


Eugene, Ore. (December 16, 2009)—*Kendall Automotive Group is pleased to announce the completion of a merger with Auto Service Company, Inc. of Fairbanks, Alaska. Auto Service Company represents several automotive brands including Toyota, Scion, Honda, Subaru and Mazda franchises. Auto Service Company also operates an authorized repair facility for Mercedes-Benz products. The Fairbanks dealerships will become a part of Kendall Auto Alaska, which currently represents Kendall Toyota/Scion, Lexus and Land Rover in Anchorage as well as Kendall Ford in Wasilla.

“This merger will ensure that even more Alaskans can experience the commitment Kendall has to automotive sales, service and customer support systems,” said Kendall Automotive Group CEO, Paul Skillern. “Fairbanks is a unique and vibrant community and we are looking forward to being a part of, not only through automotive sales and service, but through community involvement in events, organizations and activities.”

The merger between Auto Service Company and Kendall Automotive Group will ensure continued employment for the 60 employees in Fairbanks and provide access to a wide variety of innovative products and services to assist in providing world-class customer service. Auto Service Company owner, John Hill, will continue his automotive career as a director of the Kendall Group, while David Shuttleworth has been named General Manager of Kendall Fairbanks operations. The Hill family has owned Auto Service Company for 52 years and the company has become one of the premier automotive groups in Alaska.
