Walk on the Land & Gather at Architect's House

Thursday, August 28, 6:30-8:30 pm

Park on wooded side of Mountain Brook Court

Come see our 6+ acres of open, sunny areas and birch / spruce forest off Abbott Road. The land tour will start at 6:40, although late-comers may request a later tour. We'll show you where the buildings will be located (some of this area is now being cleared). Afterward, we'll stroll about a block to our architect's house, which he designed. Meet our members and enjoy delicious food and conversation. Check out our displays, including a wood model of our site, updated renderings, photos from other cohousing neighborhoods across the country, and floor plans for 35 homes and our common house. Our site plan maximizes southern exposure. Kids warmly welcome.  Click here for map / directions.

Members and guests gather in front of our sign during a Walk on the Land on July 15.

Landscape Programming Workshop Sept. 7

Members will decide on outdoor elements

Where will the kids' outdoor play areas be?  Will we have an open field for ball sports or not, and if so, where? Where will the more peaceful outdoor gathering areas be?  Which areas will have more or less dense vegetation?  These are the kinds of decisions that members will make at our landscape programming workshop. Project Manager Katie McCamant of Cohousing Partners will lead our 17 member households through the consensus decision-making process. Later, we'll decide on specific plants, trees, playground equipment, benches, etc.  If you join Ravens' Roost before Sept. 7, you can be part of this fun workshop!

Benefits to Joining before August 31

1)   Discount off price of home: 15% of amount invested up to $20,000 (max of $3000 off home at time of closing)

2)  $4000 of free upgrades to your new home

3)  The sooner you join, the better the selection of remaining homes (half are gone!)

4)  Participate in Landscape Planning on September 7
