Anchorage, Alaska, (July 30, 2014): Jason Arnold, Assoc. AIA, has earned his Construction Document Technologist (CDT) accreditation through the CDT Program. The program ensures that persons with CDT accreditation have comprehensive knowledge of construction, construction specifications, contractual relationships and the organization of construction documents as recommended by the Construction Specification Specifications Institute (CSI). Jason joined RIM in 2008, quickly establishing himself as a valuable project team member through his natural enthusiasm, positive attitude and leadership abilities. As he continues to work toward achieving his Alaska Architecture license, Jason has provided a variety of services for RIM, including design assistance, contract administration, construction documentation, building specifications and project production assistance. He has worked on numerous projects for RIM’s Building Envelope & Science Technology Studio, which provides forensic, repair and replacement solutions for roofs, doors, windows and exterior envelope issues. Since 2011, Jason has held the professional volunteer position of AIA Alaska State Intern Development Program Coordinator. He has also led numerous community-service activities for RIM, including the Sleep-Out for Covenant House Alaska and CANstruction. Personal volunteerism includes service for Habitat for Humanity and Operation Playground. Prior to joining RIM, Jason served in the U.S. Army for ten years. As an Army Resources Sergeant with several deployments to Iraq, he gained a deep understanding of the administrative, logistical and organizational needs required for large entities to perform successfully. This experience has directly aided him in coordination of projects for RIM’s clients. Jason has a Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University.
