Begich and Booker to Attend Student Town Hall, Broadband Roundtable with FCC Chair on Wednesday
On Wednesday, U.S. Senators Mark Begich and Cory Booker (D-NJ) will hold a town hall meeting with students at Bartlett High School and will join Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chairman Tom Wheeler and Alaska stakeholders for a broadband roundtable discussion.

Sens. Begich and Booker will discuss issues and listen to concerns from 150 students. Begich and Booker will respond to student questions. This event is open to the media. Members of the media are asked to check in at the Bartlett HS office when they arrive.

Sens. Begich and Booker will attend the Alaska Broadband Roundtable meeting hosted by FCC chairman Tom Wheeler. Chairman Wheeler is visiting Alaska to better understand the geographic, topographic, and climatic challenges facing Alaska communications. Begich and Booker both serve on the Senate Commerce Committee which oversees the FCC. This event is open to the media.
