2014 Annual State Land Auction bid opening rescheduled for Aug. 6
(Anchorage, AK) – The 2014 Annual State Land Auction bid opening has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. on August 6 following the late arrival of bids mailed from the Fairbanks regional office. The bid opening for the annual land auction was originally scheduled for July 23.
When the bids mailed from Fairbanks were not received in time for the July 23 bid opening in Anchorage, the auction was postponed. These missing bids have now arrived and the auction can now be held. The land sales program staff apologizes for the inconvenience to bidders and appreciates their patience.
The public is welcome to attend the bid opening in the DNR Public Information Center located at 550 W 7th Ave, Suite 1260 in Anchorage. Attendance is not required and will not affect the outcome. Auction results will be available online and from DNR shortly after the auction is completed.
An Initial Over-the-Counter (IOTC) drawing for unsold parcels will follow this auction. The IOTC application period has been rescheduled to open at 10 a.m. on August 13, and close at 5 p.m. on Sept. 17. The list of parcels available in the IOTC offering will be available at http://landsales.alaska.gov/ and from DNR offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau on August 13. The IOTC drawing will be held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 24 in the Public Information Center. Applicant attendance is not required and will not affect the outcome. Drawing results will be available online and from DNR shortly after the drawing is completed.
Parcels not sold in the IOTC offering may be made available for purchase through the OTC sale starting at 10 a.m. Oct. 8 on-line at http://landsales.alaska.gov/. A list of newly available OTC parcels will be available from DNR at that time. Check the brochure, visit us online, or call 907-269-8400 for details of purchasing land in the IOTC or OTC sales.
