The GCI Store to open in Dimond Center

GCI today announced plans for a new 3,500-square-foot retail store in South Anchorage. The GCI Store will open on the first floor of the Dimond Center in a space currently occupied by AT&T.

The new location will be GCI’s 12th retail store in Anchorage and 39th in Alaska, replacing two stores currently operating in the South Anchorage mall.

“The Dimond Center is an important location for us,” said Paul Landes, GCI senior vice president, consumer services. “The accessible location and variety of retail outlets continue to drive traffic and we’re pleased to expand with this new, larger footprint.”

“Bigger is better and this new store is no exception. The space will allow for an enhanced customer experience with the addition of interactive displays such as a GCI TV TiVo Lounge,” continued Landes.

The new store is expected to open this fall.
