Japanese Summer Festival 2013
The Japanese Summer Festival is sponsored by the Japanese Society of Alaska and the Consular Office of Japan in Anchorage, to celebrate the rich culture of Japan and the strong bonds of friendship shared between Alaska and Japan.
This year, the Japanese Summer Festival will be held on Saturday, August 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at UAA's Cuddy Hall & Quad.
We will present the following at the Japanese Summer Festival 2013:
Live Music, Taiko Drumming, Martial Arts Demonstrations, Traditional Bon Odori Summer Dancing, Delicious Oriental Cuisine, A Japanese Tea Ceremony, Lovely Ikebana Flower Arrangements, and various cultural exhibitions.
Plus Prizes, Watermelon Smashing and a fun carnival for kids!
Free Admission and parking for the Public.
