Pizza Giant Responds to Begich Concerns, Becomes Alaska Seafood Fan

Wearing an “I Heart Halibut” shirt and posing with a fork full of the delicious delicacy, Domino’s Pizza CEO J. Patrick Doyle showed his appreciation for Alaska seafood and his sense of humor in a Twitter response to protests from U.S. Senator Mark Begich over a halibut-maligning Domino’s ad.

Earlier this week, Begich sent the pizza czar a fresh fillet of Alaska halibut and a letter urging him to stop being a halibut-hater.  Begich welcomed today’s response.

“I’m glad to see that we have another Alaska seafood fan and I appreciate Mr. Doyle’s willingness to be a good sport,” said Begich. “Now if we could just get him to eat halibut on a plate instead of a pizza box.”
