ASRC Statement on Barrow Fire

Barrow, AK -- At approximately 2:50 AM authorities were notified that property owned by
ASRC was engulfed in flames. No injuries or fatalities have been reported at this time. First
responders were on the scene at 3:00 AM. The damaged structure housed restaurant Pepe's
North of the Border. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and damage to the structure and
surrounding buildings is still being assessed. Some reported damage was sustained at the
adjacent building, Top of the World Hotel. Travelers with reservations at the Top of the World

ASRC appreciates the outpouring of support from the community and the work of the first
responders. We are truly saddened by the loss of a community landmark.
