Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport Police and Fire Department Recruiting for Police and Fire Officers
(Anchorage, Alaska) – Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) is recruiting for officers to join the Anchorage Airport Police and Fire Department. Recruitment is limited to Alaska residents only, and closes on September 3, 2012 at 5 p.m.
The Airport Police & Fire positions are full time, year round positions with the State of Alaska, Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF). New officers will join a department of over 60 people, including certified officers and administrative staff.
Airport Police and Fire Officers are law enforcement officers, firefighters and medical first responders at ANC. Extensive training in all three fields is provided. At the end of the probationary period, officers are required to successfully complete all training requirements, meet certification requirements of the Alaska Police Standards Council and the Alaska Fire Standards Council. All training is paid for by the Anchorage Police and Fire Department. Probationary employees earn their salary while in training.

The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities oversees 254 airports, 11 ferries serving 35 communities, 5,619 miles of highway and 720 public facilities throughout the state of Alaska. The mission of the department is to Get Alaska Moving through service and infrastructure.
