FeedRoad Project Traffic Delays Last Updated: August 8, 2012
1. Seward Hwy btwn. Tudor Rd. and Dowling Rd.
Homer Dr. from Tudor Rd. to Dowling Rd. is closed for construction until further notice. Business and residential access will remain open. Please follow construction signs for detour routes via Old Seward Hwy.
Due to bridge work, use of Campbell Creek at the Seward Highway Bridge will be prohibited at all times until further notice. Be alert to new northbound traffic patterns, from the Tudor Rd. off-ramp to just past the Tudor Rd. on-ramp where lanes will be shifted due to work on the Tudor Rd. overpass. Expect reduced speed limits and delays.
Expect lane restrictions, shoulder and landscaping work on Brayton Dr. between Dowling Rd. and Tudor Rd. Expect nightly work and construction-related noise. Be alert to construction workers on the roadway and shoulder.
Be alert to new southbound traffic patterns, reduced speed limits and delays, from 36th Ave. to just past the Dowling Rd. off-ramp. Use extreme caution while driving through the construction zone. Please refer to message boards for updated information. Expect nightly lane restrictions and short delays on the New Seward Hwy.

2. Dowling Rd. btwn. C St. and Old Seward Hwy.
Dowling Rd. from Old Seward Hwy. to Potter Dr. and Dowling Rd. from A St. to B St. is closed until mid-October. Business and residential access will be maintained.
Beginning Monday, August 6th be alert to lane restrictions, reduced speed limits and short delays on the Old Seward Hwy. and Dowling Rd. intersection through Sunday, August 12th.

3. Jewel Lake Rd. btwn. 63rd Ave. and Aviation Ave.
Expect nightly intermittent lane restrictions, short delays and new traffic patterns on Jewel Lake Rd. between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Be alert to narrow lanes at all times throughout the construction zone. Travelers carrying wide loads are advised to use alternate routes if possible.

4. Victor Rd. btwn. 100th Ave. and Dimond Blvd.
Victor Rd. from 100th Ave. to Kingsford Park will be closed until further notice. Residential access will remain open. Please follow construction signs for detour routes. Drivers should expect intermittent lane restrictions and utility work between 7:00am - 6:00pm, Monday through Saturday.

5. 9th Ave. btwn. Cordova St. and Gambell St.
Drivers should expect a full road closure on 9th Ave. between Cordova St. and Gambell St. for road improvements. Please follow detour routes.

6. New Girdwood Townsite Improvements
Drivers should expect single-lan traffic, detours and new traffic patterns on Hightower Rd. Please follow construction signs for detour routes via Linbald and Holmgren to Girdwood Place.

7. Anchorage Market & Festival
Drivers should expect lane restrictions on W. 3rd Ave. between C St. and E St. on Saturdays and Sundays from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM through September 9th for the Anchorage Market & Festival. Please use caution in the area and watch for pedestrians.

8. Eklutna River Bridge at Old Glenn Hwy.
The Eklutna River Bridge at Old Glenn Hwy. is closed to vehicular traffic until further notice. Please use alternate routes.

9. 40th Ave. btwn. Piper St. and Wellness St.
40th Ave. pedestrian facilities between Lake Otis Pkwy, and Folker St. will close to bicycle and pedestrian traffic as needed to complete retaining wall and misc. work. Alternating closures of the north and south pedestrian facilities are anticipated until completion of the project. Bicycle and pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the opposite pedestrian facility.
Local residents on 40th Ave. between Piper St. and Dale St. will have access via Dale St. or Piper St. Residents and businesses along Dale St. will have access via Dale St.

10. E. 4th Ave. btwn. Bunnell St. and Boniface Pkwy.
Drivers should expect intermittent full closures on E. 4th Ave. between Bunnell St. and Boniface Pkwy. for storm drain work. The closure area will move along E. 4th Ave. at various locations. Residents will maintain limited access. Please follow detour routes.

11. ML&P Substation 22 Project (Midtown Area)
Drivers should expect a single lane closure on Northern Lights Blvd. between C St. and Eureka St. on Saturday, August 4th for curb and sidewalk repairs.
Eide St. has a southbound lane closure between Benson Blvd. and W.30th Ave. through the week. Expect Eide St. to be open following paving, weather permitting.
Eureka St. is closed between W. 32nd Ave. and W. 34th Ave. West 34th Ave. will be closed between Eureka St. and C St. beginning Friday, August 3rd. W. 34th Ave. between A St. and C St. is open, but watch for crews repairing curb and sidewalks.

Expect nightly single-lane traffic and flagging operations between 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM Monday through Thursday and between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM Friday through Sunday.
