Bean's Café Welcomes Two New Employees
ANCHORAGE - Bean's Cafe is pleased to welcome two new employees: Laura Lyznicki, Event and Volunteer Coordinator, and Lesley Lepley, Development Associate.
Laura is new to Alaska and has spent the last few years working on environmental campaigns and with the Farm to Table movement in Colorado. She holds a degree in Sociology from Illinois State University where she focused on motivating social change. She has always had a passion for nonprofit work. Laura is looking forward to working at Bean's Café while serving the needy in Anchorage. Laura will be responsible for coordinating our 900 volunteers over the course of the year. Volunteers help Bean’s Café on a daily basis serving breakfast and lunch, and they play a huge role in our three major events; The Empty bowl in March, summertime’s golf tournament, and with The Pour, our upcoming Fall event.
Lesley is a lifelong Alaskan, born and raised in Anchorage, with eight years of experience in non-profit education, marketing, and customer service. Lesley graduated from East High School and went on to attend the University of Alaska Anchorage as a UA Scholar and has since earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a Master of Business Administration. Lesley will be responsible for donations made through individuals as well as with the many aspects in new technology and fundraising.
