Arctic Slope Regional Corporation Mourns the Loss of Al Adams
Kotzebue Senator Dedicated His Life to Fighting for Rural Alaska
Arctic Slope Regional Corporation (ASRC) is offering its heartfelt condolences to the family of Al Adams, who passed away this week at the age of 70 after a long battle with cancer. As he dedicated his life to public service, his contributions to the state and to all Alaskans are numerous.
“I had the honor and the privilege of growing up with Al,” said Jacob Adams, Sr., former ASRC president & CEO and current board member. “He was a tireless advocate for teaching and preserving Iñupiaq traditions, and was always a powerful voice for rural Alaska, whether he was in Kotzebue, Juneau or even Washington D.C. My thoughts and prayers go out to Diane and the rest of the Adams family.”
A service for the late senator will be held in Anchorage on Wednesday, with another to be held in Kotzebue on Friday.
