Southcentral Foundation and Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium to Celebrate National Institute of Health (NIH) Visit on August 19
(Anchorage, AK, August 16, 2010) – Dr. Patricia Grady, longtime director of the National Institute of Nursing Research, is spending the week of August 16-20 at the Alaska Native Medical Center. The National Institute of Nursing Research funds research and research training with the goal of improving nursing practices and clinical care nationwide. In addition to her role as director, Grady is an internationally recognized researcher and distinguished nurse lecturer. Nurses from all over the state will be participating in a series of events and activities with Grady at the Alaska Native Medical Center (Anchorage Native Primary Care Center and main hospital). A closing ceremony, to include drumming and special remarks, will take place at the ANMC Anchorage Native Primary Care Center lobby on August 19 at 1 p.m.
