Sen. Menard expresses sadness at the passing of former Sen. Ted Stevens

Wasilla – Senator Linda Menard (R-Wasilla) is remembering former U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens today after he died in a plane crash in Western Alaska.

The senator expressed her feelings in a Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman article today.

“What words can I use that won’t already be spoken of this tragedy?” Sen. Menard said“It just saddens me that such a statesman had to leave this world by a tragic death in a plane crash.” See the article here.

Sen. Stevens was the longest serving Republican senator in history. He represented Alaska from 1968 until 2009. His contributions to the state can be seen in almost every region, and the dedication Sen. Stevens showed will likely be remembered for years to come.
