SCORE and the Office Depot Foundation Release New Edition of Workbook to Help Nonprofit Organizations Achieve Success
Washington, DC – As part of their continuing efforts to help nonprofit organizations build capacity to serve their communities, SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” and the Office Depot Foundation® have released a new edition of Business Planning Tools for Nonprofit Organizations. This free workbook has been updated and expanded to include a new section: Volunteerism—A Valuable Strategic Asset. Business Planning Tools for Nonprofit Organizations – Second Edition offers expert guidance about how to successfully start and grow a nonprofit. Focus topics include strategic and business planning, financial policy and funding sources, organizational options, and basic tools and resources. The new section highlights how volunteerism can fit into an organization’s business model, how to start a conversation about volunteerism and how to plan for a volunteer program.
