New online financial management solution provides complete financial picture to help consumers manage finances

ANCHORAGE, AK – August 30, 2010 – Northrim Bank is partnering with Intuit Financial Services to offer FinanceWorks™,  a new financial management solution that provides consumers a more complete and easy way to budget, gain control over their spending and save more.

Research has shown that 44% of consumers want to see all their finances and bills in one place and 89% who seek online financial management tools prefer to get them from their bank.  As the first community bank in Alaska to offer this free service, Northrim Bank continues to meet the changing needs of Alaskans.

“We want to help our customers achieve more from their banking relationship,” says Carolyn Jennings, Senior Vice President and Branch Administrator.  “Our customers were asking for money management tools to help them make better financial decisions.  Choosing to implement FinanceWorks made perfect sense for us in order to address that need.”

Powered by Quicken®, FinanceWorks helps consumers manage their information and accounts across more than 16,000 financial institutions and credit card sites, ensure bills are paid on time regardless of the method they use to pay them, see where their money is going, and receive a variety of alerts about their financial status via e-mail.  This helpful tool is free when you sign up for Northrim Bank’s free and secure online banking service.  Online demonstrations are available on northrim.com.
