HDR Alaska announces promotions and new hires that expand the delivery of services to our Alaska clientsMurph O'Brien has joined HDR as a senior transportation and community planner. He has over 30 years of experience in Alaska, He has worked in natural resource planning and management with the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, served as a senior transportation planner and manager for the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, and concluded his government career as the Director of Planning and Land Use for the Matanuska Susitna Borough. Murph most recently has been involved in renewable and alternative energy projects as a private consultant. He has a B.S. in natural resources from Humboldt State University.
Ryan Moyers is a senior civil engineer with over 12 years of design experience in water and wastewater distribution, collection, and treatment. He is proficient at project planning, identifying and addressing design challenges, and preparing construction documents. Ryan also has valuable field experience in land surveying and construction inspection. With HDR, he is managing and designing utility projects in Anchorage, Pelican, Kenai, and Skagway. Prior to moving to Alaska, Ryan worked as a civil engineer for various consulting firms in Virginia. He is registered as a professional engineer in Virginia and will soon receive his Alaska P.E. license. Ryan holds a B.S.C.E. from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
