Cook Inlet Natural Gas Contingency Plans Up for DiscussionAugust 28, 2009, Anchorage, Alaska - The House Special Committee on Energy is holding a meeting Tuesday, Sept. 1, to hear details on the Railbelt utility providers' cooperative contingency plans for the coming winter in case of any temporary natural gas or electricity shortages.
The utilities presented their plan before the Regulatory Commission of Alaska earlier this week.
The hearing will take place Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 2:00 p.m. at the Anchorage Legislative Information Office. Interested Alaskans and reporters unable to attend the hearing can call in to the Legislative Bridge Teleconference Center at 1-888-295-4546.
