2009 Recreational Trail Grant Application Period Open

The Alaska State Trails Program is pleased to announce that the 2009 Recreational Trail Grant application period is now open.  The current application window is from August 15 to November 1, 2009.  Please be aware that a new PDF application form has been created to complete and submit trail proposals electronically; however, one original signed paper copy will be due to the State Trails Office by the program deadline. The Recreational Trail Program is a federally funded competitive and reimbursable matching trail grant program.  Grants are available for development and maintenance of recreational trails and facilities, acquisition of trail right-of-way, and development of safety and environmental protection education programs.
