FAR Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study Update Public Workshop
(ANCHORAGE, Alaska) - Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport will hold a public workshop on Thursday, April 24, 2014, from 5:30p.m. to 7:00p.m. at the Spenard Community Recreation Center in the Multi-Purpose Room as part of the FAR Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study Update. The purpose of the meeting is to present draft land use, administrative, and facility alternatives. Airport staff and the consultant team will be available to listen to citizen comments and answer questions about the study. The meeting will be workshop format, so members of the public can attend any time from 5:30p.m. to 7:00p.m. to view the draft alternatives.
The study is being conducted to identify and evaluate current and future noise effects caused by aircraft operations at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. The goal of the study is to work with surrounding communities and stakeholders to reduce the number of people affected by aircraft noise.
