ADOT&PF to Host Super Open House
(FAIRBANKS, Alaska) – Fairbanks families can learn about highway and airport projects ready for 2014 construction in one location when the Northern Region Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (ADOT&PF) hosts its 2nd Annual Super Open House. The public is welcome to attend the event Saturday, April 19, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Hutchison High School, 3750 Geist Road.
The Super Open House will feature information and booths about projects with major traffic impacts in Northern Region. These include Airport Way, South Cushman, Goldstream Road, Johansen Expressway and projects on the Parks, Edgerton, Dalton, Glenn and Richardson highways. Representatives from the City of Fairbanks, UAC Community and Technical College, Fairbanks Metropolitan Area Transportation System and Public Employees Local 71 will also share information.
Public Employees Local 71 will provide lunch, and ADOT&PF’s Maintenance & Operations crews will be on hand showcasing snow removal and other equipment for families. Information about construction employment opportunities will also be available.
