Stoel Rives LLP is pleased to announce that after a nationwide search the firm has hired John R. Neidecker as Chief Business Development Officer, effective Monday, April 22.

Neidecker is a highly experienced business development leader who has been Chief Client Development Officer for Edwards Wildman Palmer in Boston, Chief Marketing Officer at Steptoe & Johnson in Washington, D.C., and Chief Marketing Officer for Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C.  Prior to serving in those roles, he was a Director of Marketing and Business Development for PricewaterhouseCoopers and a Director of Marketing for Coopers & Lybrand.

John understands the changing legal services environment and has a proven track record of helping firms strengthen client relationships and provide exceptional client service,” said Robert Van Brocklin, Stoel Rives’ Managing Partner. “As a growing firm, we look forward to John’s contributions to our further success in the years ahead.”

From its beginnings in the Pacific Northwest more than 100 years ago, Stoel Rives LLP has grown to nearly 400 lawyers in 12 offices in seven states and Washington, D.C.

I am very excited to be joining Stoel Rives at this particular point in time. Coming off a strong year financially and with contributions across a wide range of practices, the firm has excellent momentum and is well positioned for even stronger growth in the years ahead,” said Neidecker.

Van Brocklin also thanked Kristen B. Leis for serving as acting head of the department during the search for a CBDO. “She has done a great job,” he said, “and will continue to serve us well as our Director of Business Development and Marketing.”
