Anchorage Chamber announces new Membership Development Coordinator
I'd like to introduce myself; my name is Michele Harmeling and I have taken over the position of Membership Development Coordinator, from Janna Ruggles. Janna has been fortunate to receive a job offer in the area of human resources, which is her trained background, and we wish her all the best in her new role.
A graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks (BA) and Eastern Washington University (MFA), I have previously worked in membership, outreach, volunteer and organizational management positions with nonprofits such as Sound Salmon Solutions (www.soundsalmonsolutions.org) and the North Olympic branch of Americorps. I am a lifelong Alaskan (Palmer High School Class of 2000) and enjoy hiking, endurance running, and foraging for wild edibles in our great state. I am excited to work with the excellent team here at the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce and contribute to their valuable mission.
On behalf of the Anchorage Chamber staff and volunteers, I'd like to thank you for your membership. I know Janna and some of our Ambassadors have been in the process of contacting members to touch base and inquire as to how their membership experience has been going. At this time, I'd like to offer my services as Membership Development Coordinator to all of you: if you have questions, comments, or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me directly. If you need help registering for an event or with your online profile, just let me know.
Thank you for your patience and continued support while we make this transition. Once again, please don't hesitate to contact me, even if it's just to say hello! I look forward to getting to know all of you and working with you in the future.
Michele N. Harmeling
