Summer and Part-time Career Fair April 17 at UAA
JUNEAU, Alaska—The Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development has partnered with the Career Services Center at the University of Alaska Anchorage for a Summer and Part-time Career Fair on April 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Student Union Building, 3211 Providence Drive.
The fair will focus on summer and part-time jobs including tourism, hospitality and seafood processing. Many of the seafood jobs are in remote parts of the state. Although benefits vary, some companies offer free room, board and transportation. Herring season is a two-to-three week season in May, followed by a five-to-six week or longer salmon season beginning in June.
The fair is free and open to the public.
