More than 100 people will participate in the annual MDA Muscle Walk on Saturday, April 28th 9 a.m., at The Mall at Sears. The walk is expected to raise more than $5,000.00 to help MDA Alaska serve area residents with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle diseases.
"We’re looking forward to another great event," said Sally Dial, MDA Fundraising Coordinator in Alaska. "We’ve built on the success of last year’s walk, and we’re looking forward to hosting our families, walk teams and area businesses for a day of fun and awareness with MDA."
Participants are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before the walk start time. Individuals are encouraged to raise at least $74 in donations (the cost to fund one minute of MDA research).
