Murkowski Holding Alaska National Parks Roundtable


WASHINGTON, D.C. –Sen. Lisa Murkowski will hold a roundtable panel discussion on expanding economic growth and employment opportunities in and around Alaska’s National Parks. The event will be held Tuesday, April 3 at 3:30PM, at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

The roundtable will look at opportunities to improve coordination and cooperation between federal agencies and local residents; ANILCA local hire issues; the Denali National Park and Preserve Park Road Vehicle Management Plan; the Katmai National Park and Preserve hunting concession contracts; the economic impacts of cruise passengers in and around Alaska’s National Parks; and the South Denali Visitors Center proposal.

PARKING: Available in the Willow Visitor Parking Lot, located off of Elmore Road. The Commons Building is off of Elmore Road, between Providence Drive and Tudor Road. Parking fees will be waived for the meeting in the Willow lot only.
