May 1-2 public meetings on Thompson Pass electric line re-route
(Anchorage, AK) – The Department of Natural Resources is co-hosting informational meetings in Valdez and Glennallen regarding the Copper Valley Electric Association’s application to re-route approximately four miles of the Solomon Gulch electric transmission line through Thompson Pass. The purpose of rerouting the transmission line is to avoid avalanche damage. Two proposed routes have been identified on state land.
The meetings will be held at the Valdez Civic Center on May 1, from 6-9 p.m., and at Glennallen’s Caribou Restaurant on May 2, from 6-9 p.m.
