Field Training Exercise to be held on April 25, 2012
Anchorage , AK -- On Wednesday April 25, 2012, the Federal Bureau of Investigation will conduct a simulated hijacking Field Training Exercise at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
Called "Exercise Arctic Fencing Interagency (AFI) Arrow 12", this training exercise will involve Airport Police and Fire, the FBI, the Alaskan North American Aerospace Defense Region, the United States Air Force, the Federal Aviation Administration, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Transportation Security Administration.
The "live-fly" exercise will feature two military fighter aircraft escorting an inbound FedEx aircraft followed by field exercises to be held at the Northern Air Cargo maintenance ramp area. The exercise is expected to begin on Wednesday morning and conclude mid-afternoon that day.
This Field Training Exercise will have no impact on the operation of the airport.
