Alaska Marine Highway 50th Anniversary Public Comment Period Closes May 11, 2012
(JUNEAU, Alaska) – The public comment period for the Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) 50th Anniversary celebration will close May 11, 2012.
AMHS will begin the year-long celebration in 2013 and is looking for interesting ideas of how the ferry system can celebrate its golden anniversary. Anyone with ideas is encouraged to email firstname.lastname@example.org before the deadline.
As part of the celebration, AMHS is also looking for unique anecdotal information or photos.
“If you have historic photos, information or a good personal story to share that will help make this anniversary special, the Alaska Marine Highway would like to hear from you,” said Michael Neussl, Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities Deputy Commissioner for Marine Operations.
