Last night hundreds of customers gathered at Alaska Communications stores in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Kenai in anticipation of purchasing the first iPhones available on Alaska’s smartest network.
At 12:01 a.m., doors opened and customers rushed inside to be among the first to receive the newest iPhone and take advantage of the Alaska Communications promotions. New customers received a free iPhone 4S with a three-year agreement contract and those who purchased Alaska Communications Home Internet Services received a free Apple TV with the purchase of a one-year agreement.
In Anchorage, Alaska Communications employees greeted customers with cheeseburgers and breakfast sandwiches for the early morning arrivals. Customers who waited in line for several hours were entertained by DJs, a laser light show and contest prize giveaways throughout the night.
Alaska Communications stores will continue to offer the iPhone 4S 16GB, 32GB or 64GB or the iPhone 4.
