Alaska Airports Receive Millions in Grant Funding

Washington, D.C. - The Alaska Congressional Delegation is pleased to announce the following grants:
 
U.S. Department of Transportation
  • $3,338,750 to the State of Alaska in order to construct an apron at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
  • $7,429,050 to the State of Alaska in order to widen a runway at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.
  • $35,000,000 to the State of Alaska in order to extend and rehabilitate the runway at Unalaska Airport.
  • $366,407 to the State of Alaska in order to rehabilitate taxiway lighting at the Homer Airport.
 
 
U.S. Department of Commerce
  • $781,284 to Alaska Manufacturing Extension Partnership as part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP).
  • $1,989,766 to the Ian M Dutton Seward Association for The Advancement of Marine Science as part of the Alaska Regional Coastal and Ocean Observing System.
