Begich to Defend Positive Impacts of SBA 8(a) Program
At the request of U.S. Sens. Mark Begich and Dan Inouye (D-Hawaii), the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs will hold a hearing tomorrow on Alaska Native Corporations (ANC), Native Hawaiian Organizations, and Indian tribal entity participation in the Small Business Administration's (SBA) 8(a) Business Development Program.
Entitled "Promise Fulfilled," Sen. Begich will participate in the hearing, by special request, to share success stories produced in Alaska by the SBA 8(a) program and ANCs. The hearing will also feature Alaska Federation of Natives President Julie Kitka.
