Alaska Redistricting Board Work Session and Meetings Update April 8-14

Anchorage, AK - In addition to the April 4-10 meeting and work schedule, the Alaska Redistricting Board will hold Board meetings daily during the period of April 11-14 at the Alaska Redistricting Office in Anchorage.

The purpose of the meetings will be to provide progress reports on the Board's efforts in drawing the draft redistricting plan or plans that are due on April 14, 2011, as mandated by Article VI of the Alaska Constitution.   

From April 14, 2011, the Board will have an additional 60 days to adopt a final plan. 

The start times for each daily meeting from today, April 8, to April 14 appear below.

Each meeting may involve periodic recesses to a time certain and the Board may also consider administrative and legal matters at the daily Board meetings. Discussions of legal matters may require executive sessions.
