Audubon Alaska Welcomes New Policy Director and Communications Manager

Eric F. Myers is the new full-time Policy Director for Audubon Alaska. He brings a strong background of legislative and non-profit experience to the position, which focuses on public policy and land management issues. Eric has experience with Alaska energy, health, and environmental policy issues, ranging from working for the Alaska State Legislature, serving as Director of Operations for the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Trustee Council, and volunteer service on the boards of Alaska non-profit organizations.

Beth Peluso recently started as the new Communications Manager of Audubon Alaska. She serves as the contact for media reporters and uses her background in writing, editing, field biology, and illustration to manage Audubon Alaska’s special publications and Web content. She moved up from Juneau, where her professional experience included communications for the Southeast Alaska Conservation Council and managing the Alaska Department of Fish and Game’s Watchable Wildlife Program.
