All Alaska Juried Exhibition XXXIII
May 22 through Oct. 3

The Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center recently announced the award-winning artists participating in the All Alaska Juried Exhibition, a biennial juried art exhibition showcasing the finest examples of work being produced in Alaska. Established to encourage the creation of new works by Alaska artists, the exhibition's call for entries attracted 433 entries from 124 artists throughout the state. This year's exhibition includes 44 works from 28 artists with work in a variety of media including painting, mixed media, photography and sculpture and runs May 22 through Oct. 3.

Many distinguished jurors have visited Alaska to curate this exhibition. This year's juror is Michael Darling, the Jon and Mary Shirley curator of modern and contemporary art at the Seattle Art Museum. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalog and will tour the state for one year visiting most of the major urban centers in Alaska.
