Sitnasuak Promotes Cameron Piscoya to Director of Human Resources

Sitnasuak Native Corporation (SNC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Cameron Piscoya as the Director of Human Resources effective March, 26, 2017. Mr. Piscoya is a SNC shareholder and will lead the Human Resource Department for the Corporation.
Mr. Piscoya was identified in 2014 as an excellent candidate to participate in a succession plan to learn all aspects of human resources with the ultimate goal of being promoted to lead the department with the planned retirement of Richard Dyson. Cameron has successfully completed human resources training, mentoring, the Sitnasuak Shareholder Executive Leadership Program, and practical applications while participating in community activities and raising a growing family. According to Mr. Richard Dyon, Vice-President of Human Resources, “Cameron has demonstrated his innate abilities to absorb and process information very quickly and has taken initiative to learn and implement new processes to improve the department and Corporation.” Mr. Piscoya is Inupiaq and originally from Nome.

SNC is one of the Alaska Native village corporations created in 1971 under the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). Today, SNC is the largest of 16 village corporations in the Bering Straits region with over $130 million in annual revenues. SNC is owned by almost 2,900 Alaska Native shareholders.
